FAQ
What’s a Mini Session?
A short, 20 minute version of a Regular Family Photo Session. Authentic candids and portraits of your family, just fewer of them.
Why a Mini Session?
These are perfect for families strapped on time, or just not into a longer adventurous session, and yet still want some good shots of the family to use in a holiday card, or to print and frame a few for the home.
What's included:
Your family (doesn’t matter how many you are)
20 minute of photography
Editing & processing
A private, shareable gallery of your session ‘selects’ for downloading, and ordering prints, framed prints, etc.
Your pick of 10 high-resolution digital images from your session gallery
How do I sign up?
Simply pick a mini session day and schedule a time slot.
How many family members can we have?
Unlimited. As many as are in your family. There’s no rule on that.
What should we wear?
Different but complementary colors, individually and as a group, is a key to looking good. Patterns are great when subtle. Layers are great. Steer away from insignias and logos so we’re focused on you not brands. Don’t all wear the same thing/color.
Also, everyone should feel good about what they’re wearing. That gives confidence which will shine through in your photographs.

What about shy/stubbornness?
The best shoots are when family members talk and engage with each other naturally. Let your kids be themselves. Leave direction, instruction, coercion, behind. We won’t capture any good ones if you’re busy telling them what to do. I’ll handle that if needed.
Movement is great, don’t feel as though you need to freeze for the camera. Letting kids run around is great. If your session is kids only, I may encourage you to go on a little walk, enjoy a break while I photograph the kids without your temptation to direct.
Will you feature my family photographs on your blog or website?
I may use photographs of your family for marketing purposes only. I will always respect your privacy, so if you prefer that I do not, please let me know.
